Maximum Insulation & Firmness for Vinyl Tile Installation
Discover the best way to fill a space for maximum insulation and strength, ideal for installing vinyl tiles. Contact us for more info!
What is the best way to fill a space of 2x 13m2 with about 8cm of space for maximum insulation and strength, taking into account the installation of vinyl tiles (60x60)?
For filling the space and installing vinyl tiles, it is recommended to use a sand cement screed as a filler. Tileable insulation screed is not hard enough for this application. An alternative option is to fix a 22 mm OSB plate on the grille, filled with insulation screed. Then install the vinyl tiles on top of the OSB board with a suitable acoustic insulation underlay.
Is it possible to use an OSB board in combination with insulation screed and vinyl tiles?
Yes, it is possible to screw a 22 mm OSB plate onto the grille, filled in with insulation screed. The vinyl tiles can then be placed on top of this, with an underlay for acoustics.
