Load-bearing fillers such as cellular concrete granules are ideal for creating a dry floor. In this situation, the Staenis grid serves as a wooden joist system, placed on a pressure-resistant and dry concrete substrate. The floor structure is demountable and can be reused without waste.

1. Place the Staenis grid and adjust it to the correct height using a screwdriver. If necessary, use Staenis extension legs or sawn wooden blocks under the Staenis legs to adjust it to a higher level. 2. Glue all legs to the substrate with PU foam; this way, the height adjustment remains correct after levelling. 3. Pour the supporting dry levelling granules or cellular concrete (check if the moisture content is low enough) into the grid and level it with a screed iron on the top of the Staenis grid. Press these granules for better stability. 4. Place at least a 22 mm thick OSB board on this. Screw the wooden board into the slats of the Staenis grid. Apply double boarding if necessary for extra strength. 5. With a single layer of board layer on the load-bearing fillers, the 22mm OSB will still flex slightly, so it's best to use the green dry-screed grating. With double board layer (12mm + 18mm), the flexing is completely eliminated on the black and yellow screed grating. (1 ton/m² compressive strength) 6. Tip: Depending on the type of floor finish, you choose the thickness of the OSB. A thin floor finish requires a thicker OSB, while a thick floor finish can be combined with the minimum OSB thickness for this floor structure. 7. Tip: To prevent loose granules from rolling away or flowing through holes and cracks, it is advisable to carefully seal all openings in the concrete substrate beforehand with PU foam or mortar. 8. Permitted floor coverings (standard): floating floor coverings such as multi-layer parquet, laminate, cork, carpet, and vinyl. Do you want to tile? This is only possible with a suitable dry screed (e.g., Fermacell floor panels/floor elements or Knauf Brio, or equivalent) in accordance with the panel manufacturer's technical specifications (primer, adhesive, and decoupling if required). Tiling directly onto OSB (or with an decoupling mat) is not recommended in this floor structure. 9. Concrete subfloors in contact with the ground or containing residual moisture must be protected against rising damp with a 0.2 mm PE film. This film is laid over the entire subfloor, with at least a 20 cm overlap between the strips, and extended along the edges to the level of the finished floor. When the building section is completely dry, the film can be omitted for a solid floor. Optionally, the subfloor can also be primed with a moisture-resistant primer (FG300, see webshop) for additional protection and to still allow the grating to adhere to the subfloor.

Always install aerated concrete levelling granules in combination with the Staenis grid. For a floating finish, finish with (double) OSB/Durelis according to the instructions. For tile finishing, finish with a suitable dry screed board (e.g., Fermacell/Knauf Brio or equivalent) and strictly follow the board manufacturer's instructions.
