Floor construction with Staenis grid: Costs, Drying time & Expansion tape

Realize your floor structure with Staenis slats. Get a quote for gratings, insulation screed and more via our calculator. Learn about drying times and expansion bands.

Is it possible to realize a floor construction with the Staenis grid for a cellar with a surface area of 5.5m by 4.8m and a cellar of 4m by 2.10m, using 27cm of insulation screed, followed by a layer of tileable insulation screed of 6cm over the entire surface? Approximately how much would this cost with the grilles, insulation screed and other supplies? How much drying time should I take into account? What kind of expansion tape do I need for the top layer?

Yes, it is possible to realize your floor construction with the Staenis slat. For the basement you can use 27 cm of insulation screed, followed by a foil + layer of sand cement screed of 6 cm over the entire surface.

To receive a quote for gratings, insulation screed and other supplies, please use our calculator tool on our website. Enter the desired surface, thickness and chosen filler and you will immediately receive a quote.

The drying time of the insulation screed depends on the thickness and the circumstances, but in general you can count on approximately +1 week of drying time. For the top layer of sand cement screed of 6 cm, this would mean approximately 28 days drying time.

For the expansion joints you can use a standard expansion tape, for example a PE foam tape edge insulation. This is placed between the sand cement screed and the walls to absorb any expansion of the screed.
